 What’s in store for you and your loved ones in 2012

the year of the Water Dragon?

Chinese New Year falls on January 23rd in 2012*. This is a year of deep reflection and introspection, looking within at how we have responded to life’s situations in the past and developing better ways of responding to events in the future.

To avoid sweeping your luck away, do your cleaning before midnight on the 22nd or wait till the 25th! If you sweep or dust on the 24th make sure you're sweeping inwards so that you are bringing in the fresh, new, vital luck energy of 2012.  

Dragon: 1904, 1916, 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012

Overall provided the Dragon doesn’t become too big for it’s boots 2012 is a very good year for the Dragon.

Health:  It is wise for the Dragon to take extra care so far as Health is concerned this year. Watch what you eat and avoid an excess of sugars and carbohydrates. 

Wealth: In business and in finances 2012 will be a year of significant opportunity and progress. Expansion and the Recognition you crave and deserve have finally arrived! In the midst of all the excitement and fanfare remain grounded and you will build a solid foundation for years to come, overextend, indulge in pride or act and think as thou you are invincible and it will come back to haunt you at a later date. 

 Happiness: Generally a happy year for the Dragon, remember to take time away from your job/occupation and recharge otherwise you will sink into the depths of despair. Maintaining balance and harmony in all aspects of your life are key this year.

Snake: 1905, 1917, 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001

Often referred to as the little Dragon, the younger sibling holding onto the coattails of it’s older brother or sister and slip-sliding along behind them.

Health: There are no major highs or lows forecast this year provided the Snake pays some attention to maintaining fitness and sticks to foods that nourish the body.

Wealth: Beware of putting yourself in risky situations this year. Take extra care with security at home , when travelling and on your person. Check contacts carefully before signing. Be vigilant to avoid being taken advantage of. Be wary of all newfound friends, who may not be who or what they seem. Be Frugal.

Happiness: An exciting yet difficult year awaits. Avoid unkind talk, it will come back and bite you. Others are jealous of your progress and standing. Keep your own counsel and indulge in tasks to consume your time, the time for harvest  is near but first the  fields must be ploughed and the seed planted and tended.  

2012 Tip: Consider carrying a blue rhinoceros with blue elephant for protection and locate an Anti-Burglary plaque in the SE

Horse: 1906, 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002

Leader and protector the Horse has the stamina and fortitude to take good care of those considered to be part of his inner circle of family and friends. A tricky year where it will be the Horses ability to foresee danger along the way and guide loved ways along a safer path.

Health: Take good care of yourself and make a point of being selective about the foods you eat. Avoid situations that could be considered dangerous physically and also financially and romantically. Remember the Dragon tends to blow things out of proportion, so what seems diabolical during the year may well leave less damage to contend with in the future than you expect.

Wealth: In areas of finance, compromise and diplomacy are your keywords this year. Dig you heels in and refuse to budge and suffer the consequences. Remaining cheerful and optimistic will aid you in all things finance related.

Happiness: The naturally positive horse will find a safe path and can change direction immediately it becomes apparent it’s prudent to do so. Refrain from overindulging in anxiety and spend quality time with friends who have the ability to see the humorous side and elevate your spirits.

Sheep/Goat: 1907, 1919, 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003

Economise is your mantra for the coming year.  Certainly in the area of finances, and also your physical output. It’s likely you will be expected to do far more than is reasonable, so don’t. Your health depends on it and working  harder and longer will have little effect and the overall situation.

Health: Protect yourself from danger, like your neighbour the horse. avoid situations that could be considered dangerous physically and also financially and romantically.

Wealth: The sheep is unlikely to accumulate money this year, however provided the sheep does not make drastic changes in life or decide to gamble, it’s likely to weather the financial storm better than many others.

Happiness: 2012 is likely to be a year when others expect way to much and overestimate what you can physically do.  Be conservative when discussing your contribution to projects and make sure that you take any good news received with a grain of salt

Ever cheerful, the happy go lucky Monkey, trickster extraordinaire is set for a  much better year in 2012 provided he is respectful and considerate of others and avoids hidden agendas when negotiating agreements and working with others. 

Health: Generally a year when your Health takes care of it's self provided you pay attention to what you eat and drink. Don't exhaust yourself foolishly. Avoid overindulgence and silly risks, and enjoy opportunities to rest. 

Wealth: Avoid speculation of any kind. Remember to save, you'll be greatful when next year rolls around and don't get ahead of yourself. Don't count the money until it's in the bank! The Dragon will tempt the Monkey and the Monkey needs to be sure he's got it in his hands as the Dragon will play with him if he can. Keep your ego in check.

Happiness: Lots of in kind assistance comes your way which will lead to gains in years to come. This is a lucky year and you will find plenty of people who believe in you and your ideas. Remember it won't all go your way so don't assume you have won the game until the final blow of the whistle.

Oh Piggy, you come up trumps again! A smooth and social year awaits. Continue accumulating and ensure you have ‘me’ time as your biggest concern is overindulgence. You really don’t need to be reminded, it’s self and family first.

Health: Get plenty of rest between all those exciting activities and events the Dragon year is brining your way.

Wealth: Pay attention to your income sources, how could you not? Keep squireling away the excess to add to your already substantial cushion against the improbable., a time when the pig is no longer a money magnet. And beware of others depending on you to bail them out or prop them up. This year you may need to be tougher and when you say No, mean it otherwise you could easily develop a reputation as a soft touch.
